OVER the past 15 years, clinical decision analysis has become an important tool in approaching difficult medical problems.It has aided clinicians in making decisions not only for individual patients but also for groups of patients with common clinical problems. Oftentimes, the analysis has provided a perspective different from the clinical judgment of the physicians involved in the care of certain patients.
